An App That Changes Your Desktop Windows to the Size of Your Home’s Windows

RealWindows is an app designed to fuse the physical and digital world by adjusting the size of your computer’s desktop windows to match the dimensions of your home’s physical windows. The app begins by asking for the height and width of your windows in your living space and then dynamically resizes your computer’s application windows accordingly. It aims to blur the lines between your physical environment and digital workspace, offering a more immersive, contextual, and personalized computing experience. RealWindows brings an intriguing shift in how we think about the spaces we inhabit and the screens we use. By aligning the physical size of the window with digital windows, the app aims to inspire a deeper connection to our surroundings, encourage a more intuitive understanding of our workspace, and potentially reduce digital fatigue. RealWindows challenges the way we interact with technology by creating similarities between our digital workspace and our physical ones by interjecting these comparisons at the metaphor of the desktop “window” as a stand in for the physical ones around us.
